Setting up the Struggle for Civil Rights in Cairo, Illinois (research methods paper)

• The violent civil rights struggle in Cairo was already well documented. I researched the events and attitudes during the period from 1955 to 1967 that led up to it. 2003.


The United Front (research paper)

• Sociological look at collective action and organization in Cairo's civil rights struggle. 2003.


History of Vice: Sexual Consumerism vs. Sexual Liberation (research project)

• Thesis on cultural forces that led to the success and decline of porn magazines. 2004.


Changing Philosophies of Newspaper Design 1929 – 1992 (research paper)

• Contrasted design philosophies being taught with the actual work in production. 2004.
